    Location and Conditions

    • Duty Station: UN City, Copenhagen, Denmark

    • Duration: Six months, full-time (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

    • Extension: Internships typically last 2–6 months, with possible extensions up to 8 months (full-time) or 12 months (part-time).

    Allowance

    • Interns without external financial support will receive an allowance to partially cover the cost of food, local transportation, and living expenses.

    Travel

    • If not covered by external sponsors, some UN agencies reimburses interns traveling from outside Denmark for round-trip economy-class tickets between their country of residence and the duty station, based on the most economical route available.

    • Prior written authorization, including approval of costs, must be obtained from the hiring office before travel.

    Obligations

    • Interns are responsible for securing and covering costs related to visas, residence permits, medical certification, and taxation (if applicable).

    • Interns must provide:

      • Proof of health insurance coverage valid in Denmark.

      • A certificate of good health from a qualified medical practitioner confirming fitness for work and travel.

    • Admission to the Internship Programme is contingent upon providing these documents.
