Liverpool High School Executive Principal Briana O’Brien recently announced that two seniors have been honored in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program. Brown, left, was named a Commended Student, while Tice was named a semifinalist.
LIVERPOOL CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT – Liverpool High School Executive Principal Briana O’Brien recently announced that seniors Juliet Tice and Caleb Brown have been honored as part of the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Tice was named a Semifinalist, one out of approximately 16,000 students who received the designation, while Brown was named a Commended Student, one of approximately 34,000 students who received Letters of Commendation. The pair were recognized for their outstanding academic promise.
Students taking the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test were eligible for these honors.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which sponsors the National Merit Scholarship Program, is a not-for-profit organization established in 1955. High school students enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the PSATs and by meeting published entry/participation requirements.
