Two area students recently received Alliant Energy scholarships. 
Callie Huber of Wellman and Lauren Lukavsky of Washington both received a $1,500 Alliant Energy scholarship at this year’s Iowa Foundation of Agricultural Advancement (IFAA) event at the Iowa State Fair. Both recipients have been involved in the livestock industry through 4-H and FFA and are freshmen at Iowa State University. Alliant Energy has supported the IFAA Winner’s Circle Scholarship program for over two decades.
The IFAA offers over $240,000 per year in scholarships funded by various groups. Support for the IFAA Sale of Champions and subsequent scholarship and awards programs has steadily grown from $50,000 in the first year to nearly $725,000 today. 
Huber graduated from Mid-Prairie High School and Lukavsky graduated from Washington High School.
