AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Cultural Trust is now accepting applications for the Butler Texas Young Masters Program, a scholarship initiative aimed at nurturing the next generation of Texas talent.
Heidi Marquez Smith, CEO of Texas Cultural Trust, explained the program's mission: "The Texas Cultural Trust is a leading voice for the arts in Texas. We increase awareness and support for the arts while also quantifying the impact that the arts have on our economy, our education, our way of life, and our culture. And we also spotlight the creative artistry that has been cultivated in our state. And we do that through six programs, and one of which is the Butler Texas Young Masters."
The program is designed to benefit young artists across Texas. "The program is in partnership with the Texas Commission on the Arts, and we select 15 incredibly talented students from all over the state to receive the title of Texas Young Masters, but also a $10,000 scholarship over two years to enhance their artistic education," said Smith.

Eligibility for the scholarships is open to young artists who demonstrate exceptional talent and dedication in their respective fields. "For some of these students, it opens opportunities for classes and nontraditional education that they otherwise could not afford. So we're really excited when these kids receive their title of Young Master, but also use these funds for creative projects to study with world-renowned artists and access opportunities they otherwise could not. "
