The
Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa (SIHA) is a regional feminist organization working to advance
gender equality, social justice, and women’s human rights. Founded as a collective of women activists and organizations, SIHA partners with grassroots women’s groups to strengthen agency, amplify local voices, and challenge systems of discrimination across the Horn of Africa.
Operating in countries such as
Somalia, Somaliland, Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, and Djibouti, SIHA focuses on transformative advocacy, movement building, and leadership development.

SIHA is seeking a
Grants Associate to join its regional team and support the
effective and transparent management of subgranting processes. This position may be performed
remotely or
on-site in one of the countries where SIHA operates.
Reporting to the
Regional Grants and Movement Building Coordinator, and working closely with the
Regional Programme Manager, this role will ensure that all subgranting activities comply with SIHA and donor requirements. The successful candidate will help to maintain high standards of accountability and efficiency in subgrant administration, from application and review to reporting and evaluation.
The Grants Associate will collaborate with
country teams, finance staff, and MEL (Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning) units to enhance the quality and impact of SIHA’s grant-making initiatives.
