CARBONDALE – SIU Carbondale’s Paul Simon Public Policy Institute is providing scholarships to SIU students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership and a commitment to public service.
Institute Director John Shaw says the scholarships are possible through the generosity of donors and friends of the institute and are an important way for the institute to reward and encourage students who make such a consequential contribution to our work.
Three out of the nine students receiving scholarships are from our area.
Ryann Clark of Christopher received the David Yepsen Director’s Award while Madison Bevis of Du Quoin and Olivia Larrison of Metropolis both received the Barbara Brown Memorial Scholarship.
