In celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, She Code Africa is excited to announce that applications are now open for the Q4 Laptop Scholarship 2025, proudly sponsored by HP.

This initiative is designed to bridge the digital divide and empower African women and girls who are passionate about building careers in technology but face challenges accessing essential tools—particularly laptops.

About the She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship

The She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship is a flagship initiative that supports African women and girls pursuing careers or learning paths in the tech industry. Recognizing that access to digital resources can be a major barrier to participation in technology, this scholarship provides brand-new laptops to selected beneficiaries, enabling them to learn, code, and grow.

For the Q4 2025 round, the scholarship is open to all African women and girls, whether or not they are members of the She Code Africa community. The goal is to ensure that more young women across the continent can take the next step in their tech journeys.

Who Can Apply

The scholarship is open to:

• African women and girls interested in or currently pursuing a career in technology.

• Individuals who do not have access to a personal laptop.

• Applicants who can demonstrate a genuine interest in tech and a clear plan for how access to a laptop will support their goals.

Applicants are encouraged to complete the online form honestly and thoroughly, providing clear details about their aspirations and current challenges.

Selection Process

All applications will be reviewed based on the following criteria:

1. Demonstrated Interest in Technology: Evidence of ongoing learning, participation in tech programs, or personal projects.

2. Clarity of Goals: A clear plan outlining how the laptop will contribute to your growth in the tech field.

3. Impact Potential: The potential for the applicant to contribute to their community or inspire other women and girls in tech.

Selected beneficiaries will receive brand-new laptops fully funded by HP. Only successful applicants will be contacted via email after the review process.
