The Palestinian Scholarship at Goldsmiths, University of London represents one of the most meaningful opportunities for Palestinian students seeking to pursue higher education in the United Kingdom. This fully funded award not only removes financial barriers but also empowers talented individuals to become part of a global academic community in London.
Goldsmiths is known worldwide for its creative and forward-thinking environment, offering innovative programs in arts, humanities, social sciences, and technology. Through the Palestinian Scholarship, the university extends its mission to promote diversity, inclusion, and educational equity — providing a life-changing opportunity for up to five Palestinian students each year.
Successful applicants will receive:
A full tuition fee waiver for one academic year;
A living allowance of £19,550 to cover accommodation and everyday expenses;
A return flight between the UK and Palestine.
This generous package ensures that selected scholars can focus entirely on their academic and personal development during their time at Goldsmiths.
The Palestinian Scholarship is open to individuals who meet both Goldsmiths’ general admission criteria and specific eligibility requirements designed to support Palestinian nationals and refugees.
Applicants must:
Be Palestinian, with priority given to residents of the West Bank, Gaza, or one of the Palestinian refugee camps;
Be currently residing in Palestine or hold Palestinian travel documents;
Require a Student Visa to study in the UK;
Have applied for an undergraduate or taught Master’s degree at Goldsmiths for entry in 2026.
Please note that if you apply for a two-year postgraduate program, the Palestinian Scholarship will only cover the first year of study.
In addition, priority will be given to applicants who have not studied at any university outside the West Bank, Gaza, Israel, or Lebanon, and to those who have not previously completed or are not currently enrolled in a postgraduate degree.
The Palestinian Scholarship selection process is competitive and transparent. After initial shortlisting based on eligibility, qualified applications are reviewed by an awarding panel that includes representatives from the Admissions Office, academic departments, and the Students’ Union.
The committee evaluates candidates holistically — considering both their academic record and their answers to the application questions. The quality of writing is less important than the clarity and substance of what applicants express. Each application is assessed for how well the candidate’s goals, motivation, and commitment align with the scholarship’s purpose: fostering educational access and community leadership among Palestinian students.
