Griffith University is seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join a cutting-edge research initiative focused on Offshore Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems (OHRES). The project aims to develop an innovative GIS-based spatial decision-support tool to autonomously identify optimal offshore locations for renewable energy system deployment.
This tool will assist energy planners and system managers in making informed, visual, and data-driven decisions. The research is primarily desk-based but will involve meaningful collaboration with leading industry partners including CSIRO, Pitt & Sherry, and the Blue Economy CRC.

The selected candidate will be based at Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus and integrated into a dynamic, multidisciplinary research team affiliated with a relevant centre or institute.
