The RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation, a long-standing advocate for women’s empowerment and equality, has officially opened its 2025 Call for Projects. The Foundation invites French nonprofit organizations to submit innovative and impactful initiatives that advance women’s rights, education, economic inclusion, and environmental leadership. Since its creation in 2006, the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation has been a major player in the global movement for gender equality. Operating under the RAJA Group, the Foundation has supported more than 950 projects in over 70 countries, directly improving the lives of thousands of women and girls. Each year, it partners with organizations that address urgent challenges while building sustainable pathways to equality and independence.
Created in 2006 under the aegis of the Fondation de France, the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation was born from the conviction that supporting women means transforming the world. It works closely with partners, NGOs, and local communities to develop equitable solutions that respect human dignity and advance equality.
With a deep commitment to solidarity and collaboration, the Foundation continues to fund projects that uplift women and catalyze change — in education, employment, environmental action, and beyond.
The 2025 call focuses on projects that empower women through tangible, lasting change. Selected initiatives will receive financial and strategic support to expand their reach and deepen their impact. To be eligible, applicants must be nonprofit associations registered in France and possess demonstrated experience in promoting women’s rights and social progress. International organizations may be considered in exceptional cases where collaboration with French entities strengthens outcomes.
Applications are assessed based on the project’s relevance, sustainability, and measurable impact. Projects may take place in France or internationally, provided they align with the Foundation’s mission and values.
For 2025, the Foundation has identified four key areas of focus:
Defending Women’s and Girls’ Rights & Combating Gender-Based Violence
Projects that address discrimination, fight against physical or psychological violence, and promote gender equality in both private and public spheres. This includes initiatives supporting survivors, raising awareness, and strengthening legal or community protections.
Education and Equal Opportunities
Initiatives that improve access to education and training for girls and women, particularly in contexts where inequality limits participation. Programs that foster leadership, literacy, and digital inclusion are highly encouraged.
Professional Inclusion and Economic Empowerment
Projects that help women gain financial autonomy through vocational training, entrepreneurship, or access to resources. The Foundation prioritizes programs that create sustainable livelihoods and support women entering male-dominated industries.
Women’s Action for the Environment
Recognizing women’s essential role in ecological transformation, the Foundation supports agroecological, conservation, and climate initiatives led by women. Projects that link environmental justice with gender equality are strongly encouraged.
