Kittitas County’s Yutong Liang won Washington’s Distinguished Young Woman scholarship program in Pullman over the weekend.
Liang is a senior at Ellensburg High School. She will now advance to the national program in Mobile Alabama in June.
Isabella Huntley of Colfax finished first runner up. Garfield Palouse Distinguished Young Woman HettyLee Laughary won an interview award. Pullman’s Tatum Lloyd earned a talent award.
Nearly 10,000 dollars in scholarships were awarded during the state program that was held Saturday at Pullman High School. Seven young ladies participated.
