Rebecca Myers, daughter of Iron Workers Local 396 member Marc Myers and Stacie Myers, has won the 2025 Godfrey P. Padberg Ironworkers’ Scholarship.
The $10,000 scholarship will go toward Rebecca’s studies in education at University of Missouri at St. Louis.
The Padberg, Corrigan & Appelbaum law firm has proudly represented and supported members of Iron Workers Local 396 since the early 1960s. After the passing of Godfrey Padberg, the firm established the Godfrey P. Padberg Ironworkers’ Scholarship to honor him and his relationship with the iron workers.
Each year the firm awards one $10,000 scholarship to a son or daughter of a Local 396 member to aid in furthering his or her education.
Since its inception in 2003, a total of $230,000 in scholarships have been awarded to the children of Local 396 members.

    About Us
Today, the Labor Tribune is one of the few remaining labor weekly newspapers in the country. It has a symbiotic relationship with its subscribers: the paper exists because of their continued and unwavering support and the St. Louis/Southern Illinois labor movements are considered among the strongest in America in great part because they have a solid, strong voice that allows their positions to be heard in the general community.
