Gov. Jim Pillen joined the Nebraska Department of Transportation to honor some scholarship students.
The Good Life, Great Journey Scholarship program is in its second year.
Selected students receive 100% paid tuition, books, fees, tools, housing expenses, travel reimbursement and a paid internship with NDOT.
And at the end of the program they are eligible for full-time employment with the department.
The next round of applications opens Sept. 1.
