Culture Moves Europe is the European Union’s flagship mobility scheme promoting cultural and artistic exchangeacross Europe.
Funded by the Creative Europe programme and implemented by the Goethe-Institut, it supports artists, curators, producers, and cultural managers to carry out projects in another Creative Europe country.
The new Call for Individual Mobility 2025–2026 offers opportunities to learn, create, explore, and connect through short or long-term international projects. Participants gain funding, visibility, and access to a vibrant European network of creative professionals.
Applications are open to artists and cultural professionals active in the following sectors:
Architecture
Cultural heritage
Design and fashion design
Literature
Music
Performing arts
Visual arts
Applicants can apply individually or as a group of up to five people.
To be eligible, applicants must:
Legally reside in one of the Creative Europe countries, including the OCTs (Overseas Countries and Territories) and ORs (Outermost Regions).
Carry out their project in a different Creative Europe country from their country of residence.
Pursue at least two objectives from the following: to learn, to create, to explore, to connect.
Individual projects: 7–60 days
Group projects: 7–21 days
This flexibility allows participants to design short-term collaborations or longer residencies depending on the nature of their project.
The Culture Moves Europe grant offers comprehensive financial support, including:
Daily allowance: €85 per day for accommodation and subsistence.
Travel allowance: €400 for distances under 5,000 km; €800 for greater distances.
Top-ups available:
Green mobility – €400 for using sustainable transport.
Overseas or outermost regions top-up – €175.
Family top-up – €200 per child.
Visa top-up – €120.
Accessibility support: €30 per day for personal assistance or sign-language interpretation.
Beyond financial assistance, participants join a European network of creative partners and institutions, gaining professional visibility and collaboration opportunities.
The Culture Moves Europe: Call for Individual Mobility 2025–2026 operates as a rolling call — meaning applications are reviewed monthly.
