STEVENS POINT — The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin has awarded more than $333,000 in scholarships to 207 students across Portage and Waushara counties for the 2025 fiscal year.
The foundation announced the recipients this week, recognizing the support of donors who “believe in investing in our future.” The scholarships were established by local families, businesses, and organizations to assist students pursuing higher education.
Among this year’s recipients were Natalie Johnson, who earned the Achievement Center–Huettig Memorial Scholarship, the Connection Co. Education + Advocate Scholarship, the Peter C. Zimmerman Scholarship, and the Ryan Wanta Memorial Scholarship; and Carter Higgins, who received the Delta Dental Service, James & Noni Clark Memorial, Scott Schultz Memorial, and Science Department scholarships.

Students from Rosholt and the Stevens Point Area School District were also recognized through dedicated education funds. Rosholt Education Fund awards included the Barbara J.
