Each year, nearly half a million visitors flock to the Coachella Valley for the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament in Indian Wells. For Indio High School students, however, tennis paradise is a year-round reality.
On Wednesday, four Indio High seniors who excel not only in academics but also on the tennis court — all while remaining deeply dedicated to their local community — took home something even better than a tournament trophy.
