The Role

This Associate Product Manager internship offers hands-on experience leading product development for one of the world’s most popular language-learning platforms. Interns work on real features that impact millions of users globally, gaining exposure to the complete product lifecycle from concept to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Feature Development
Take ownership of a specific app feature through the entire product development cycle, including ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration. This end-to-end responsibility provides comprehensive experience in product management.

Strategic Research and Planning
Conduct market research, analyze trends and data, and develop product roadmaps for key components of Duolingo’s business. Past intern projects have included improving Asian language instruction, exploring strategies for emerging markets, and developing features to engage offline learners.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineers and designers to guide feature development, ensuring technical feasibility while maintaining focus on user experience and business objectives.

Data-Driven Optimization
Perform quantitative analysis on feature performance and identify opportunities for optimization. Use statistical methods and user insights to inform product decisions and improvements.

Qualifications

Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field with an expected graduation date of Fall 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.

Skills and Attributes

Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience taking initiative and driving projects forward. Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize user insights, data, and statistical analyses to inform strategic decisions.

Natural instinct for creating simple and intuitive user experiences that prioritize user needs. Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Track record of inventive and innovative thinking with examples of creative problem-solving. Deep desire to leverage technology and education to make a positive impact on the world.

Hourly rate ranges from $43 to $45 USD.
