The beVisioneers: Mercedes-Benz Fellowship, designed and implemented by The DO School Fellowships and funded by Mercedes-Benz, is now accepting applications for Cohort 4. This unique fellowship empowers young changemakers to transform environmental ideas into sustainable projects through innovation training, mentorship, and financial support.
Launched in 2023, the beVisioneers Fellowship is a multi-year program that equips young people with the tools, resources, and global network needed to implement environmental initiatives. The journey begins with a 12-month intensive program that requires only 24 hours per month, making it manageable alongside work or studies.
Fellows receive award-winning innovation training, attend online and in-person events, and join a global community dedicated to advancing sustainability. After completing the foundational year, participants continue to scale their projects and deepen their leadership through the long-term fellowship community.
Successful applicants to the beVisioneers Fellowship gain access to:
1:1 Mentoring with industry experts and environmental leaders
Venture coaching to develop and accelerate projects
Hybrid learning experience, combining online modules with global and regional events
Opportunities to apply for project scholarships of up to €20,000
Financial support options to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for disadvantaged fellows
Fully covered travel, accommodation, and expenses for key fellowship events
A network of peers, mentors, and partners working on environmental impact across the globe
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Age: 16 to 28 years old at the time of application (born between January 26, 1997, and September 17, 2009)
Language: Strong command of English (minimum B1 proficiency)
Residency: Applicants must live, study, or work in one of the eligible countries during the program
The fellowship is open to residents of countries across Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, and Latin America, including Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, Philippines, Rwanda, Singapore, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, USA, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, and many more across Europe and beyond. The application process is competitive and designed to identify ambitious, innovative, and resourceful young leaders ready to tackle pressing environmental challenges. It consists of three main sections and takes approximately 30–40 minutes to complete.
Applicants provide:
Basic personal and contact information
A description of their environmental project idea
Learning and financial support needs
A self-assessment test
A scanned copy of their passport or national ID
Applicants must record a three-minute video explaining the environmental challenge they want to solve and their proposed idea. Applications without this video will not be considered.
Applicants requesting financial support must provide:
Two references from employed, non-family members
An income declaration for themselves or their household
Supporting documentation to verify their financial situation
beVisioneers is committed to ensuring accessibility and inclusion. Fellows from economically disadvantaged backgrounds may qualify for:
Living Cost Support: Covers a basic income equivalent to 24 hours per month for 12 months, plus local transport costs for in-person meetups.
Online Access Support: Provides funds for internet data, electricity, cables, laptops, or repairs to ensure full participation in the virtual components of the fellowship.
All financial support amounts are adjusted to each fellow’s country of residence and purchasing power.
Applications for Cohort 4 close on January 25, 2026, at 23:59 CET. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
