The EUAA traineeship programme is designed for:
Recent university graduates
Students enrolled in higher education who have completed at least three years of studies
The programme provides hands-on experience in EU operations and contributes to enhancing the Common European Asylum System (CEAS).
Initial contract: 6 months
Renewable for: up to another 6 months
Maximum traineeship duration: 12 months
€1,500 monthly traineeship grant
Travel allowance at the beginning and end of the traineeship (for moves over 100 km)

To be eligible, applicants must:
Be a national of an EU Member State or a Schengen-associated country (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland)
Have completed at least three years of higher education
Demonstrate minimum English level B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

The closing date for the submission of applications is 2 December 2025 at 12:00 pm (noon – Malta time). The Agency will disregard any application received after this date and time.
The interview period is planned to take place from mid-December 2025 to mid-January 2026. Traineeships at the EUAA start on 1st or 16th day of the month. This traineeship is expected to start on 1st March, 16thMarch or 1st April 2026.
