The France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship Program is now accepting applications for the 2026 academic year. Established by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the program aims to attract outstanding international students to pursue Master’s and PhD studies in France, building the next generation of global leaders in key fields of study.
Through this initiative, France reaffirms its commitment to fostering international cooperation in higher education and research, offering world-class opportunities for talented students to gain advanced academic and professional expertise in one of the most innovative and globally connected education systems.
Launched to strengthen France’s appeal as a destination for higher learning, the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program enables French institutions to host exceptional students from around the world. It supports individuals who show strong potential to become future leaders and decision-makers in the public and private sectors, especially in priority areas aligned with France’s strategic development goals.

Master’s level: for applicants up to 29 years old
PhD level: for applicants up to 35 years old
The program not only provides financial support but also integrates recipients into a rich cultural and academic ecosystem, giving them access to high-level research facilities, professional networks, and cross-cultural experiences that prepare them to address global challenges.
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship offers comprehensive financial and logistical support designed to ensure that recipients can fully focus on their studies and research. The benefits typically include:
Monthly allowance to cover living expenses.

Therefore, prospective applicants are encouraged to contact the international relations office or graduate admissions office of the French institution where they wish to study to express their interest and confirm eligibility.
Each institution is responsible for selecting and nominating its candidates based on academic excellence, leadership potential, and the alignment of the candidate’s project with the institution’s priorities and France’s broader international cooperation goals.
The Eiffel Scholarship targets students in disciplines that are of strategic importance for global development and for strengthening France’s influence in key sectors. While detailed regulations for the 2026 session will be announced soon, priority areas typically include:
Engineering and Science (for the Master’s level)
Economics and Management
Law and Political Science
Sustainability, Environment, and Climate Change
Health and Technology Innovation
These focus areas reflect France’s dedication to promoting education that supports innovation, sustainable development, and global collaboration.
