Applications are now open for the 2026 cohort of the Erasmus Mundus Master in Impact Entrepreneurship (EMMIE) — an innovative and interdisciplinary master’s program designed to empower future changemakers. EMMIE equips students with the skills, mindset, and networks needed to launch entrepreneurial projects that balance People, Planet, and Profit, driving progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This 18-month international program, jointly delivered by three leading European business schools, offers a unique learning journey across Croatia, Lithuania, and Belgium, combining academic excellence with real-world innovation. For aspiring entrepreneurs passionate about building sustainable and inclusive futures, EMMIE offers the tools to transform vision into impact.
The Erasmus Mundus Master in Impact Entrepreneurship (EMMIE) was created for individuals determined to use entrepreneurship as a force for good. It supports participants in developing the competencies, creativity, and strategic insight required to design, test, and scale business solutions that address global and local challenges.
Through this program, students will learn how to integrate social, environmental, and economic sustainability into entrepreneurial ventures. They will also cultivate a purpose-driven mindset that prioritizes positive societal transformation over short-term profit.
The program attracts diverse participants from around the globe — over 40 nationalities have joined since its inception. Each student brings unique cultural perspectives and professional experiences, enriching the collaborative learning environment and strengthening the international EMMIE network.

The EMMIE program spans three semesters (90 ECTS credits) over 18 months, with each semester hosted in a different European country:
Semester 1 – Zagreb, Croatia: Students build a foundation in general management, mastering key entrepreneurial and leadership competencies.
Semester 2 – Vilnius, Lithuania: The focus shifts to innovation and technology management, equipping students with the creative and analytical skills needed to turn ideas into impactful ventures.
Semester 3 – Liège, Belgium: The final semester emphasizes entrepreneurship and business creation, helping participants refine and execute projects designed to make measurable contributions to the SDGs.
Beyond coursework, EMMIE integrates transversal activities such as seminars, conferences, and networking events with impact-driven organizations and entrepreneurs. These experiences expose students to real-world challenges and foster collaboration across sectors and disciplines.
A distinctive feature of EMMIE is its emphasis on hands-on entrepreneurial development. Each participant designs and develops their own impact-driven project during the program, guided by mentors and industry experts.
The process culminates in a comprehensive feasibility study and business plan, presented as a capstone master’s thesis. Final projects are evaluated by a jury of representatives from the three partner institutions. At the end of the program, students pitch their ventures to entrepreneurs and potential investors, with the opportunity for incubation at one of EMMIE’s partner institutions.
Students also contribute to the Impact Entrepreneurship Blog, publishing articles on sustainability, innovation, and global entrepreneurship to promote knowledge exchange within the EMMIE community.
