The National Health Fellows Programme was established to cultivate a dynamic and competent health workforce capable of driving Nigeria’s healthcare reform and improving health outcomes nationwide. The fellowship blends leadership training, mentorship, and hands-on experience, preparing participants to tackle pressing challenges in healthcare delivery, policy, and innovation.
The programme’s primary objectives include:

The fellowship is open to Nigerian citizens aged 25 to 35 years who are passionate about driving change in the country’s health system. Eligible applicants must:
Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related discipline, Information Technology, or the Social Sciences.
Demonstrate interest or prior experience in public health, community healthcare, innovation, or non-profit development work.
Be available for full-time participation during the fellowship period.
Be an indigene of the state they are applying from.
Possess a smartphone with internet access for digital learning and communication.
Provide a recommendation letter from one of the following:
A university dean,
NYSC supervisor, or
A recognized community leader or organization.
