ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Graduating high school students in the area can now apply for a college scholarship through Rockford Promise.
The scholarships assist students attending Rockford University, Rock Valley College, Northern Illinois University or Saint Anthony College of Nursing.
The scholarship covers tuition and general fees not already covered by other financial aid. Books, housing and other personal expenses are not included.
The scholarship opportunities are meant to broaden access to college. Last spring, 204 scholarships were granted to Rockford graduates.

The applications are open from October 1, 2025 through February 5, 2026. All scholarship offers must be accepted or declined by May 1 2026.
