Fully Funded Chevening Scholarships 2026–2027 for Master’s Degrees in the UK

Overview

Chevening Scholarships are prestigious, fully-funded opportunities that allow outstanding emerging leaders from around the world to pursue one-year master’s degrees at any UK university. Beyond just a scholarship, Chevening offers a life-changing experience, fostering personal and professional growth, extensive networking opportunities, and a deep immersion into UK culture.

What’s Included?

With a Chevening Scholarship, all expenses are covered—flights, accommodation, and course fees—so you can concentrate on your studies and enjoy your time in the UK. You’ll join a global network of influential leaders, gaining the knowledge and connections needed to bring your ideas to life and drive positive change in your home country.

Why Study in the UK?

The UK is renowned for its world-class universities, rich history, and vibrant cultural scene. Studying here offers a unique opportunity to learn from some of the best minds in your field, explore cutting-edge research, and immerse yourself in a diverse and multicultural environment.

Who Can Apply?

Chevening seeks applicants who demonstrate ambition, leadership potential, and a passion for making a positive impact. While there’s no “typical” Chevening Scholar, successful candidates usually exhibit a strong academic background, relevant work experience, and a clear vision for their future. Chevening values diversity, so applicants of any gender, age, religion, or background are encouraged to apply, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.

When applying for Chevening, you will need to pass an eligibility checker before you can access the application form. The eligibility checker will check if you meet all of the eligibility requirements set out on this page.

To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship you must:

  • Commit to returning to your home country for at least two years after your scholarship ends.
  • Have at least two years of work experience (2,800 hours).
  • Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a UK master’s programme.
  • Apply to three different and eligible  UK university courses. You must have received an unconditional offer from at least one of these course choices by the references and education documents deadline listed on the application timeline.

To assess your eligibility, please review the detailed Chevening eligibility and work experience requirements.
