AGM Women Summit 2025 : leveraging female human capital to transform african agriculture – Africa News Agency

African agriculture is today at a crossroads. While the continent boasts abundant natural resources and significant growth potential, its development is constrained by structural barriers, notably women’s limited access to financing, training, and land. In this context, the AGM Women Summit 2025 aims to highlight the strategic role of female human capital and agricultural investment in promoting equity, productivity, and climate resilience.
Women’s economic empowerment is not just a matter of social justice: it represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen Africa’s food sovereignty and ensure sustainable agricultural growth.
Organized on 11 December 2025 in Paris at the Intercontinental Hotel – Place de l’Opéra, the summit seeks to mobilize a wide range of stakeholders: policymakers, financial partners, investors, and women entrepreneurs from the continent and the diaspora. As Charlotte Libog, President of the AGM Women Network and Founder of Africa Granary of the World, emphasizes: “Women’s economic empowerment is not just a matter of social justice: it represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen Africa’s food sovereignty and ensure sustainable agricultural growth.”
A Catalyst for Concrete Commitments
The AGM Women Summit will offer rich and practical exchanges. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with women leaders and field experts, discover innovative models, and analyze tangible solutions to tackle the “3F equation” – Financing, Training, and Land – which still limits women’s agricultural entrepreneurship.
The summit also serves as a catalyst for concrete commitments. Initiatives discussed aim to support the financing of women-led agricultural projects, enhance skills, and improve land access. The goal is clear: turning obstacles into opportunities so that agriculture becomes a driver of inclusion and resilience in the face of economic and climate challenges.
Making African agriculture a driver of equity and resilience is possible if we place women’s potential at the heart of decisions and investments
The summit will also feature panels on green finance, sustainable agricultural technologies, and impact investing, allowing participants to see how economic profitability and sustainable development can go hand in hand. Investors will gain direct visibility on high-potential projects, while women entrepreneurs can strengthen their networks and access strategic partners.
A Unique Opportunity for Mobilization and Partnership
More than just a platform for exchange, the summit aims to foster sustainable partnerships and mobilize resources. Organizations interested in sponsoring or supporting this high-impact initiative are invited to join the event. As Charlotte Libog notes: “Making African agriculture a driver of equity and resilience is possible if we place women’s potential at the heart of decisions and investments.”
