About the Program

In today’s rapidly changing world, digital competence is no longer optional, it is essential. Social Economy Support Organizations (SESOs) and Social Enterprises (SEs) play a vital role in driving community innovation and impact. Yet, many of these organizations face challenges in adopting and applying digital tools effectively.

The DiGi-SEII Training Program and Capacity Building initiative was created to address this gap. It provides a comprehensive and tailored approach to digital skills development, combining modern learning methods with practical support.

Training Modules

The program explores several critical areas of digital transformation:

  • AI for Everyday Efficiency – Practical applications of artificial intelligence to streamline workflows.
  • CRM Systems & Cybersecurity – Tools to manage relationships securely and protect organizational data.
  • Digital Fundraising & Revenue Models – Strategies to diversify income streams using online platforms.
  • Digital Marketing & Visibility – Techniques to enhance outreach and brand recognition.
  • Inclusive Digital Design – Ensuring accessibility for all users, including marginalized groups.
  • Green Digital Practices – Promoting sustainability and reducing environmental impact through eco-friendly digital solutions.

These modules are designed to empower changemakers with actionable skills that can be immediately integrated into daily operations.

Program Benefits

By participating in the DiGi-SEII Training Program, organizations and individuals will:

  • Strengthen essential digital competences for modern work.
  • Earn certificates and badges to validate their learning achievements.
  • Collaborate internationally and expand professional networks.
  • Apply new knowledge directly to organizational growth and community impact.

Additionally, lump-sum grants are available to support participation:

  • Up to €400 for Social Enterprises (SEs).
  • Up to €2,000 for Social Economy Support Organizations (SESOs).

These grants help cover travel, accommodation, and subsistence costs for in-person training activities.

Who Can Apply

Eligibility criteria ensure that participants are well-positioned to benefit from the program:

  • Social Enterprises (SEs): Must be legally registered for at least 2 years in Belgium, France, Greece, Sweden, or Ukraine.
  • SESOs: Must operate at the European level and be legally registered in any EU Member State or OCT.
  • Applicants can be staff members, board members, volunteers, or interns formally affiliated with the organization.

What You Get

Selected participants will gain access to a rich learning ecosystem, including:

  • Coverage of travel, accommodation, and subsistence for in-person events (up to €2,000 depending on distance and type of event).
  • Online, in-person, and e-learning modules covering digitalization, AI adoption, marketing, cybersecurity, and scaling strategies.
  • Tailored digital strategy support to meet organizational needs.
  • Peer exchanges, study visits, mentoring, and matchmaking opportunities.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

  • Maturity & Scaling Plans – Readiness to grow and expand.
  • Desired Impact – Potential contribution to community and sector.
  • Motivation – Commitment to learning and applying new skills.
  • Needs – Alignment with program resources.
  • Locality – Geographic relevance.

A minimum score of 15/25 is required for selection.

  • SESO Transnational Training (Paris):
    • Online: 13th & 20th March
    • In-person: 26th & 27th March
  • Brussels Training: Online & in-person sessions in May
  • SE National Training (Sweden):
    • February: Online training
    • April: In-person training
    • September: Online & in-person combined sessions
  • Application Deadline: January 9, 2026

How to Apply

This project is co-funded by the EU via the DiGi-SEII Project. Participation is subject to eligibility, selection, and available budget.
