EU–UK Think-Tanks Engagement

The European Commission is inviting EU and UK think tanks to participate in the EU–UK Think-Tanks Engagement initiative, aimed at strengthening relations, promoting mutual understanding, and advancing EU policy priorities in the United Kingdom and beyond.

This call for proposals supports collaborative research, public engagement, policy advocacy, and capacity-building, fostering enduring cross-border networks and communities of practice. Selected grantees will have the opportunity to influence the policy debate and enhance understanding of complex global and regional issues.

Objectives

  • Enhance understanding of EU positions and policies among UK audiences.

  • Strengthen long-term engagement between EU and UK think tanks.

  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing and collaboration on issues of global significance.

Expected Results

  • Structured exchanges, intellectual debates, and systemic collaboration between EU and UK think tanks.

  • Creation of a robust network of think tanks conducting joint research and engaging EU policymakers.

  • Promotion of expert insights on EU–UK relations to improve mutual understanding.

  • Increased knowledge of EU mechanisms among UK international relations experts.
