The Rising Woman Initiative, now in its seventh edition, is significantly expanding opportunities for women entrepreneurs across Uganda. Organized by the Daily Monitor in partnership with dfcu Bank, this year’s cycle successfully supported over 150 women-owned businesses by providing essential training in areas such as financial literacy, digital skills, credit management, and business registration.
At the recent Rising Woman Awards, business captains, including Nation Media Group Uganda’s Managing Director, Susan Nsibirwa, strongly encouraged women in business to actively explore partnerships as a key strategy for growth. Recognized as a national platform driving women’s participation in critical sectors like agribusiness, value addition, and services, the initiative offers crucial opportunities for connection, inspiration, and fostering new business partnerships through networking.
