The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications for its Summer 2026 Internship Program. This program is designed for the nation’s best and brightest young leaders, offering a unique opportunity to gain meaningful work experience in Washington, D.C., while meeting academic and career goals.
The Chamber Internship Program is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn directly from experts in the field. In addition to directly supporting a team within the organization, interns participate in a variety of programming designed to build professional skills and expand their networks.
Selected interns will work on substantive projects in areas including:
Research and writing
Database management
Policy
Communications
Event preparation
The internship goes beyond daily tasks. The Chamber provides a structured environment to ensure professional growth through:
Intern Speaker Series: Learn from senior-level leaders about their career journeys and how their specific teams impact the Chamber’s mission.
Networking Events: Connect with managers and senior leadership to hear tips and tricks learned throughout their careers.
Resume Workshops: Learn how to craft a standout resume and cover letter for the next steps in your career.
Real-World Impact: Previous interns describe the experience as “being in the rooms where business and policy were discussed” and seeing firsthand how commerce drives positive change globally.
The program is open to hardworking students and young leaders looking to widen their network, skillset, and industry knowledge. International students and recent graduates should check the specific eligibility requirements on the application portal.
Application Deadline: January 9 (for Summer 2026 applications).
