All current U.S.-based internships are fully virtual. To be eligible, candidates must reside in one of the states where World Vision International is registered as an employer:
Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia (Washington D.C.), Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
Internships are 13 weeks in length, with schedules set in coordination with the supervising team.
Spring/Fall: 20–40 hours per week
Summer: 24–40 hours per week
World Vision International internships are paid.
Interns receive a monthly stipend of USD $800 to help offset expenses related to participation in the programme. This stipend is not calculated as an hourly wage.
Applicants must:
Be at least 18 years old
Commit to a minimum of 24 hours per week
Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or F1 student visa holder
Be a current student or recent graduate (within the last two years) from an undergraduate or graduate programme
Use their own computer or electronic device and agree to install security software for the duration of the internship
Affirm World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith
World Vision also offers internship experiences across its global offices. Applicants interested in placements outside the U.S. can contact the relevant World Vision office through the “Where We Work” section on the World Vision website.
Is this internship paid?
Yes. Interns receive a stipend of USD $800 per month.
Do virtual interns need to relocate or report to the office?
No. All current U.S. internships are remote. Any in-person requirements would be stated clearly in the specific posting.
Can I apply to more than one position?
Yes, up to three roles. Applicants should mention all positions they are applying for in their cover letter.
Can I receive academic credit?
Yes. An MOU can be arranged between World Vision and your academic institution.
