At Land is Life we recognise that Indigenous women are vital champions of land rights, cultural leadership and community well-being. Through our Indigenous Women’s Program & Fellowship, we invite Indigenous women leaders from Africa, Asia and the Americas to step into a year of transformative action and community impact. A year-long mentorship experience with seasoned Indigenous women leaders who have advanced rights, governance and environmental stewardship in their communities.
Project funding and technical support: up to USD 3,000 to design and carry out a community-level initiative. Landis Life+1
A stipend of USD 3,600 to support your participation through the programme. Landis Life+1
Monthly training and peer-learning on Indigenous rights, leadership, advocacy, land stewardship and resource management.
Networking & advocacy opportunities: connect with local, regional and global partners, and amplify your voice in decision-making spaces.
Design and implement a community-based project (roughly 10 months) that advances Indigenous women’s and girls’ rights, land and resource governance, livelihood enhancement or climate resilience.
Engage your community and build/strengthen regional or local networks of women and Indigenous rights actors.
Actively participate in monthly trainings and peer learning, and bring back what you learn to benefit your community.
Indigenous women aged 18–35 from Africa, Asia or the Americas.
Applicants must not be previous fellows of this programme.
You should present a clear, feasible project proposal aligned with the programme’s goals: land/resource rights, women/girls’ empowerment, community governance, biodiversity, climate action or livelihoods.
Submit the online application form in English, French or Spanish between 6 October and 5 November 2025.
If you’re unable to complete the form, you may apply via a video proposal (up to 15 minutes) answering all the questions and ending with your oral acceptance of the terms.
Results will be announced by 5 January 2026; the programme begins on 12 January 2026.
