    TOPICS:
A local golfer is turning a day on the course into a mission of service by playing 126 holes in one day to raise money for veterans and first responders.

Jeff Craig hosted his sixth annual golf marathon at WindStone Golf Club.
The marathon supports Folds of Honor, a national non-profit that provides scholarships to the families of fallen or disabled service members.
Craig teed off just after 7:00 a.m., committing to play through sunset — all in the name of charity.
What started as a 108-hole challenge turned into 126 holes after the club raised over $30,000.
This year alone, Craig says the event will fund at least six scholarships.
Veterans are also invited to join him on the course; seven of them played alongside him during the third round.
Craig and the WindStone Golf Club membership have now raised over $125,000 over the past six years.
