
LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – In support of the Institute of Mexicans Abroad’s IME-BECAS program, the Consulate General of Mexico and the interim president of Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on August 15.
This year, a total of $27,000 was raised for the IME-BECAS program, with additional support from Gemco and the Mexican Cultural Institute.
The funding was used to provide scholarships for 14 university students this fall semester.
