    CLAYTON, Ill. — Adams Electric Cooperative has announced that Garrett Neisen, a graduate of Central High School, is one of 17 winners of a scholarship through the Thomas H. Moore Illinois Electric Cooperatives (IEC) Memorial Scholarship Program.
    Garrett, a son of Joe and Tara Neisen, was awarded a $2,500 LaVern and Nola McEntire Memorial Scholarship to help pay for costs to attend the lineworker’s school conducted by the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives in conjunction with Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield.
    Candidates are judged on an essay, a biographical statement, references and a recommendation.
    Garrett Neisen was recognized during the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives’ annual meeting held recently in Springfield.
