(7-22-25) The WSU Police Academy Scholarship Fund awarded three $1000 scholarships to our future law enforcement officers. This fund was started by Rod & Barb Carpenter of Celina with funds held at the Mercer County Civic Foundation. Residents, businesses, and organizations from Auglaize and Mercer Counties made this fund a reality.
Our inaugural recipeients are: Gavin Ahlers of St. Marys, Gavin Rieger of Wapakoneta, and Cole Turner of St. Marys.
Barb and Rod are grateful for the generosity of all that contributed. This fund will continue to award scholarships forever.
