The Standardbred Owners Association of New York (SOANY) has announced that the SOANY/Yonkers Raceway John R. Brennan Scholarship will be offered in 2025 and the application and rules are now available. 
Scholarship awards are being offered in the amounts of $10,000 USD for first place, $5,000 for second place and $3,000 USD for third place. The application deadline is Friday, May 30, 2025. 
The scholarship applicant or his/her immediate family member must be a 2025 SOANY member in good standing or the applicant can be an immediate family member (spouse or child) of a backstretch employee (caretaker).
